Blue Corner Dive Gap Year IDC

Are you looking for an IDC in Bali away from the hustle and bustle? Get off the mainland and shorten your daily dive commute with Blue Corner. We have two 5 star IDC Centres located in Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, both islands equally as beautiful as each other and only 25 minutes by boat from Sanur, Bali. GAP year programs are conducted on Nusa Lembongan.

Here at Blue Corner Dive we balance professionalism and fun very seriously. With years of experience, we take a relaxed, hands on approach to teaching all instructor candidates. Our facilities are well maintained, with comfortable boats and serviced equipment, a purpose built training pool, and a quiet air conditioned classroom and reference library just for instructor candidates.

We were the first to offer dive instructor training on Nusa Lembongan in 2012, and we are now the first PADI IDC Centre operating out of Nusa Penida. We also cater to our local diving community by offering the PADI IDC in Bahasa, this program is offered out of our Lembongan location.

The PADI Instructor Development Course is comprised of two main components. The first portion is the AI (Assistant Instructor) program, and the second is the OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor) program. IDC Lembongan develops candidate's abilities to prepare academic presentations, confined water skills, and open water teaching demonstrations. As a PADI Instructor candidate, you'll also learn about business and marketing principles, teaching children, risk management, and other important topics relevant for the well equipped dive professional.

IDC Programs

17 Day IDC

Our standard 17 day instructor covers everything you need to be a Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI), and is made for those who have a little less time available to complete the 22 Day IDC + MSDT Prep. In this professional and highly recommended course, we throw in 3 days of preparation, 2 free days of fun diving to be taken before or after the IDC, a freediving introduction course, a day dedicated to a coral reef restoration workshop with one of our two full time marine biologists, a Dorm Bed, and all your PADI Fees.

22 Day IDC

Our MOST POPULAR program is setup for those who want to add a whole lot more value for a little extra money. The 22 Day program includes everything in the 17 Day program plus a little extra. With the 22 Day program we include 5 speciality instructor ratings, needed to eventually apply your Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) certification, and make you more valuable in the industry and an overnight dive trip to Bali to dive the Liberty Wreck in Tulamben.
